Fall 16' General Body Meeting w/ Crowe Horwath
EVENINGS WITH INDUSTRY
Bi-weekly, NSBE MSU partners with industries in Coporate America and other MSU student orgs. to facilitate an educational presentation to the MSU Engineering community.
Participants learn which technical skills a specific company is looking for and how to highlight them on a resume. Attendees also learn how to effectively showcase their technical skills during an interview, to land that internship, co-op, or full-time position.
MENTORSHIP
NSBE MSU offers mentorship for support and more specifically, to increase the retention of our chapter's membership. We especially place an emphasis on freshman students and strive to maintain stable, long-term connections which help build genuine relationships.

Walk for Education
A single day outreach activity aimed at encouraging youth to be better prepared for higher educational opportunities in STEM fields, and in general.
Fall 16' Lansing, MI AIDS Awareness Walk
STEM AWARENESS WALK
NSBE MSU will facilitate its first STEM awareness walk for education during the 2016-17 academic school year. The T.O.R.C.H. Walk for Education promotes science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Most important, it aims to engourage Black participation in STEM at all levels.

STEM Community Training
Formal classroom style education in STEM fields aimed at both youth and adults.
Fall 16' Study Tables in collaboration with Successful Black Women student org.
STUDY TABLES
NSBE MSU holds bi-weekly sessions to expose members to on-campus resources such as the Math Learning Center and the Guided Learning Center. To ensure that our membership succeeds academically, smaller study support groups are formed to assist memebers based on specific courses.
PRE-COLLEGE INIATIVE STEM DAY
NSBE MSU hosts 4 Annual STEM Days (2 per semester) during the academic school year. This program opens the minds of students to STEM opportunities that are available to them.
By partnering with local middle and high schools and other MSU student orgs, STEM Days allow NSBE MSU to possitively impact the community.

Traditional Community Service
Any other type of community service: food & clothing drives, volunteering at a shelter, etc.
Spring 16' Voter Registration Drive
COMMUNITY SERVICE
NSBE MSU furthers its mission of positively impacting the community by participating in traditional community service activities. We strive to bring awareness to under represented concerns that effect the Black community. Examples of past efforts include: facilitating a Spring 16' Voter Registration Drive, and participating in Fall 15' HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer Awareness Walks.

Informal STEM Community Training
Casual outreach activities, targeted at youth, which aim to show how science & engineering can be fun.
